A partial knee replacement is just that a replacement of just part of the knee. Sometimes this is called a uni for unicompartmental knee replacement. We can replace one of the three compartments of the knee the inside (medial), the outside (lateral), or the knee cap joint (patellofemoral). Certain people are good candidates for a partial while other patients are better served with a full or total knee replacement.
