Several viewers have requested this video, and a fascinating study it has been. The ancient civilizations of MesoAmerica were very creative people, and they were very much into fate and chance. They identified a god for nearly every aspect of life, not the least of which was Macuilxoshitl, the god of games.
The game itself is a race game in the same family as Pachisi and other multipawn race games. Movement is determined a handful of binary bits beans or corn kernels and the board features spaces with rewards and penalties. It's a fine example of the genre, and fun, too!
