The MIM104 Patriot is a surfacetoair missile SAM system, the primary of its kind used by the United States Army and several allied nations and one of the most advance technology till today


For a Patriot battery it cost a whooping One Billion Dollars (US$1 billion), while a single missile cost US$4 million.

Comparing to the S400, a single battery mobile longrange surfacetoair missile system, costs approximately $500 million.
