The Impressionists and representatives of the trends they spawned changed the world of art, it was they who gave us the most famous, magnificent and expensive painting. One of them was Paul Cezanne, a French PostImpressionist painter who was born in 1839 near Marseille. Paul Cezanne's painting techniques, his coloring, his strokes, his manner of painting stand out for their temperament, contrast and flashiness. During my studies at the Academy, I made two copies of his paintings Card Players (I gave this painting to my teacher from elementary school) and Selfportrait. These are quite complex Paul Cezanne paintings, but the goal of this channel is to introduce the viewer into the world of art. Therefore, in this video we analyze a simplified version of still life painting. I took it upon myself to change Paul Cezanne's still life a little, so that it would be easier for a beginner to cope.
In any case, if you are worried about the result, remember the main thing: impressionism is, first of all, an expression of YOUR feelings and impressions. Therefore, if you didn’t get an exact copy, it’s good, then you contributed something of your own. Remember that the purpose of painting for beginners is quite different. I also do this, for me this process is a kind of Art Therapy. Especially with good music. By the way, in the comments you could write your opinion about what kind of music is best for you during the creative process.
You can also see that in my fruit still life some colors are also changed and they are different from reality. This is where creativity comes in! Do not try to be a printer and make a copy of reality. For example, every realist artist knows how to paint an apples still life, but not everyone knows how to paint it decoratively and creatively.
Oil painting for beginners is exciting and evokes a lot of emotions. Please feel free to express your opinion also in the comments.
In this video, I work in the oil painting techniques. However, if you prefer acrylics, you can also use acrylic paints, just change the thinner to water and keep the brush wet.
As you can see in this still life painting I used staging. There is no secret here just expose the items in a way that makes you comfortable looking at them. My red apple turned out to be somewhat smaller, so in my simple still life I put a box under it (life hack, haha). It seems to me that, thanks to its decorative effect, this easy still life in the style of Paul Cezanne can be painted quickly and with pleasure, which is great for both art therapy and general selfdevelopment.
