Today I'm exploring the latest professional quality watercolor paints from Paul Rubens, their 36 set of 4th Generation Artist's Watercolours in tubes. These paints have all the qualities artists look for in their watercolors high transparency, good lightfastness, good quality pigments which have been ground very fine and blended in a good quality binder, and a particular feature of this Paul Rubens range is the high number of single pigment colors, which makes color mixing much easier as you're less likely to end up with muddy greys!

This one is a long one, so get yourself a cup of coffee, settle down in a comfortable chair, and join me as I take my time setting out my palette, swatching each of the 36 colors, and then trying them out with a bright and colorful tulip painting. Watch to the end for my verdict!
