PayPal can be a handy way to pay. For a start, you don't need to have any cards on you for quick online payments. But do you still need it, and is it safe?

For many the main reason for having one was to sell on eBay. But that's changing, and by the end of 2021 all private sellers will be using a PayPal free system.

There's also a new inactivity charge coming for those that don't use it. Plus scammers love to pretend to email you from PayPal.

And there have been plenty of advancements in the ways we pay, such as Apple Pay and Curve.

Taking these factors into account, should you close your account?
