Walking tour of Penacova, a peaceful and relaxing town in central Portugal. Nestled along the scenic Mondego River, this picturesque town offers a perfect escape into tranquility. Penacova is located 20 km (12 miles) northeast of Coimbra, and 230 km (143 miles) north of Lisbon. The municipality of Penacova has a population of about 13,000 people, but the town itself has just a few hundred inhabitants.
