PenedaGerês Trail Adventure will take you to some of the most beautiful and inhospitable nook of this country, in the extreme southwest of Europe!
Castles, waterfalls, fauna, flora, gastronomy, handicraft, people, community, villages, culture… A perfect portrait, difficult to explain, designed to be felt and lived!

Accept the challenge! choose one of the multistage races… run it solo or as team – of two or three athletes on the only Portuguese National Park PenedaGerês….
…it’is located in the northwest of Portugal, from about an hour of the airports of Oporto and Vigo – Spain.

PenedaGerês Trail Aventure® is a multiday trail running event with different races which cover different distances.

The park includes an area of about 700km2
It was created on 1971 due to its national and international scientific interest, with the aim to protect the soil, water, flora, fauna and landscape, while preserving its value to the existent human and natural resources. It’s also a Transboundary Biosphere Reserve, declared by UNESCO.

The granitic rocks dominate!
Fractures in the landscape have confined the rivers to deep,
straight valleys and are visible in the younger granite outcrops
visible in the uncovered higher altitudes.
