Our team just published this study in RAPM: They studied patients scheduled for hip surgery who received an ultrasoundguided PENG block. The injectate consisted of 18 mL of 0.5% ropivacaine mixed with 2 mL of a contrast agent. Following the block, a highresolution CT scan was performed to capture threedimensional images of the injectate's spread. The study sought to map the distribution within predefined anatomical areas relevant to hip joint analgesia. What we found can change your practice. The video describes how to: Optimize Injection Technique, Adjust Injectate Volume, Prevent Undesirable Spread Patterns.
