Vascular Surgeons New Haven - MVI

Boardcertified vascular surgeon Dr. Esposito and boardcertified interventional radiologist Dr. Davis performing peripheral artery disease treatment at Milford Vascular Institute's officebased lab.

Their patient had a completely blocked artery blockage (peripheral artery disease) that was restricting blood circulation in her leg and causing her severe leg pain.

Peripheral artery disease (PAD) is a condition where plaque builds up in the walls of the arteries restricting blood flow, causing leg pain, and putting a person at risk of amputation.

To treat PAD and restore blood flow through the patient's leg, they used the latest endovascular surgery methods. These include stenting, atherectomy, and balloon angioplasty.

These procedures are performed on an outpatient basis in our officebased lab.

The patient's artery was completely blocked. Following the procedure, blood flow is completely restored through her leg artery.

The patient will enjoy complete pain relief immediately, putting an end to her symptoms.
