In this episode of the Perspective Prog. based on 'Road to Self Reliance'. On 12 May 2020, PM Narendra Modi started the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan by announcing the Special economic and comprehensive package of 20 lakh crores rupees to fight COVID19 pandemic in India. The aim of this Package was to strengthen the Indian economy and increase its competitiveness in the global market with the underlying objective of selfreliance. PM further outlined five pillars of Aatma Nirbhar Bharat – Economy, Infrastructure, System, Vibrant Demography and Demand. The government also undertook several bold reforms such as Supply Chain Reforms for Agriculture, Rational Tax Systems, Simple & Clear Laws, Capable Human Resource and Strong Financial System.
