Archive footage of Perth, the capital of Western Australia, is located where the Swan River meets the southwest coast. Its suburbs are a succession of sandy beaches and home to the huge Kings Park, on the river bank, and the Botanic Garden on Mount Eliza, which offers wonderful views of the city. The Perth Cultural Center is home to the state's ballet and opera companies, and occupies an entire district, including a theatre, art galleries and the Western Australian.
