Sky News host Peta Credlin says the CFMEU put its Victorian branch into administration – but it's the “whole apple that's rotten”.

Reports in the AFR, the Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, and on TV, have exposed allegations of kickbacks, threats, extortion, and extensive links between the CFMEU and major crime figures.

“In the 1980's, the Hawke government deregistered the BLF, the CFMEU's corrupt and thuggish predecessor," Ms Credlin said.

“Will the Albanese government have similar courage? Let's see what our weak Prime Minister does next.”
