Phabeni took a big step and went on his first walk with Joshua and Adine. Initially, he spent some time sniffing around the homestead and even tried to climb into the water trough. Lammie joined in the beginning but decided a walk was not for her today.

Phabeni will continue his daily walks, accompanied by two people, Lammie, and Spotty. Walks during the day are not ideal because of the intense heat, so walks usually take place in the late afternoon after he cools down in the water. By familiarising himself with his surroundings, Phabeni will become more comfortable once he joins the herd. This should help ease his nerves and make the introduction a smoother process.
