Phantom pain may be the cause of the 'tight' feeling in my left foot right now. I certainly remember the 'phantom pain' from my stress fractures in my college years. Those phantom pains from stress fractures in college were ten years ago, and I frankly did forget about the sensation/feeling. Stress fractures are no joke for serious runners out there. Any bone injury for a runner can cause a lot of anxiety because you are forced to slow down and rest, an uncommon notion for most longdistance runners. At the end of the day, I think this may be a phantom pain that I am dealing with right now.
