The God Equation: Theoretical physicist Michio Kaku is on a life long quest to solve Albert Einstein's socalled 'God Equation', or the theory of everything. Aged 8, the physicist says he first identified the quest he'd absorb his life with.

'[Einstein] wanted an equation ... that would allow him to, read the mind of God. So I said to myself, wow, this is for me. This is something that I have to do', explains Kaku. He believes that string theory may be the key to unlocking the secrets of the universe. 'The power of string theory is that it unifies the forces of nature', explains Kaku.
