This physics video tutorial explains the concept of acceleration and velocity used in onedimensional motion situations. Acceleration tells you how fast the velocity is changing every second while velocity tells how fast the position is changing per second. This video provides all of the equations and formulas needed to understand the examples presented and to solve the practice problems listed in this video. This tutorial also briefly discusses the difference between average acceleration and instantaneous acceleration. It contains constant acceleration problems that asks you to solve for the final speed of a car or a bus given the initial speed. It also provides examples of converting units of acceleration such as km/hr/s into m/s^2 and units of velocity from mi/hr to m/s.
