The pretty village of Pinhão is located on the right bank of the Douro River, in the heart of Alto Douro wine region where many of Porto's main wine producing estates are located.
The name of the village owes its name to the location at the mouth of the Pinhão River, one of the tributaries of the Douro. Nestled between the two rivers, and situated on a hillside stepped on the Douro presents a beautiful landscape dotted with farms and lots in a unique beauty typical of the Alto Douro wine region.

A bonita vila de Pinhão fica situada na margem direita do rio Douro, no coração do Alto Douro Vinhateiro onde estão localizadas muitas das principais quintas produtoras de vinho do Porto.
O nome da vila deve o seu nome à localização na foz do rio Pinhão, um dos afluentes do Douro. Aninhada entre os dois rios, e situada numa encosta em degraus sobre o Douro apresenta uma linda paisagem salpicada por quintas e solares numa beleza única típica do Alto Douro Vinhateiro.
