PIPE-307: A New Remyelinating Agent for Multiple sclerosis

Follow
Dr. Brandon Beaber

Many years ago, the drug clemastine was proven to have remyelinating effects in animal studies. Recently, a new drug, PIPE307, may represent an advance on clemastine. It is more targeted toward the M1 receptor, believed to mediate remyelinating effects, it has excellent penetration into the central nervous system, and it is highly potent. This video reviews the research done on PIPE307 so far and ongoing trials.
