Video Summary:
Plasma half life is time required for plasma concentration of drug to fall by 50% of it's initial value. When the drug is first time given, it's concentration in plasma falls rapidly due to distribution on body compartments other than blood. Half life measured during this distribution is called distribution half life. With elimination, there is gradual fall in plasma concertation. Half life for this elimination is called elimination half life. Elimination half life is constant in first order kinetic and varies in zero order kinetic.
