Hey y’all, here’s an update on my plasma toroid display project, where I use a radio frequency oscillator to excite low pressure xenon gas into a plasma, shaping it into a toroid using the magnetic fields from the RF oscillator. Here’s what I’ve gotten so far I think I’m about a week away from getting the desired results, and I’ve also been in touch with the two researchers who were able to create this effect. Once I get the desired effect I’ll make a fun video out of it, showing the whole process of making it, the story behind it, and teach you guys a bit about electromagnetism !
