Questions asked and answered:
From the learners perspective, how long do you think it took you, to feel like you could integrate the POCUS BLUE protocol into your patient assessment? Alongside the use of stethoscope?
In my experience, no one really does the BLUE protocol as described. Is there another method, for example the lawn mower approach to look for findings in the lungs?
Did the relatively normal ultrasound, help reassure the patient? Even when a CXR or CTPA was not done?
This was your first ever POCUS scan how do you feel? Tell us about your experience with using the machine and doing this scan.
When the whole team, in a high stress situation was advocating for what sounds like a very reasonable course of action given history and findings and the POCUS then showed something very contrary to expectation, how did you communicate this to the team, change the whole teams view, especially to team members who weren't POCUS positive?

Until next time! Happy scanning...!!
