Polaris factoryfitted original clutches are calibrated for the standard factoryfitted tires and suspension, and for universal use of the vehicle. If you wish to use your vehicle on more specific occasions or in more demanding conditions, such as for complicated farming or gardening works or for towing or carrying heavier loads, or you want to use oversized wheels and tires for better offroad capabilities or even go racing, then your vehicle’s clutch system needs a different setup, to match the use of the vehicle.

For these purposes, we have developed and offered 2 different types of clutch kits for Polaris Sportsman and Scrambler models.

TRAIL CLUTCH KITS comfort, work & trail riding

The trail clutch kit is an excellent choice for trail riding, occasional mud and sand riding, plowing, and hauling. Our most popular, best allaround use kit helps to transfer the engine power to the wheels better, so you can use the engine’s potential more effectively and the vehicle runs smoother, with the harsh takeoffs reduced.

MUD CLUTCH KITS – muddy & big heavy tires

Mud clutch kits have been developed for riding with heavier mud tires. It reduces belt slipping and protects the clutch from overheating. It also gives better lowend power and torque which results in crisp throttle response.
