A rotary lobe vacuum pump is a positive displacement pump that uses rotating lobes to generate vacuum. Two threebladed rotary lobes are mounted in parallel within the housing. They operate in opposite directions. The pumped medium is trapped through the rotation of the lobes, compressed, and transported to the outlet.
