All too often, victims whose cases have been prosecuted feel “dropped” by the system once those cases are dismissed, plead out, or even sentenced. In order to sustain support for these victims, the Denver City Attorney’s Office created a Post Adjudication Victim Advocacy position. During this presentation, you will learn why this position was created, how grant funding was obtained, and what the role of the Post Adjudication Victim Advocate is, and you’ll hear about some of the successes achieved by this advocate.
