The CSIS Africa Program and the ONE Campaign engage in conversation about opportunities for accelerated growth, investment, and development in Africa. The discussion features African business leader and philanthropist Tony Elumelu, chairman of Heirs Holdings, a proprietary investment company that builds sustainable African businesses and a lead partner in the U.S. Power Africa Initiative. Mr. Elumelu is joined by Donald Kaberuka, president of the African Development Bank; Michael Elliott, president and CEO of the ONE Campaign, and Darius Mans, president and CEO of Africare. As the World Bank and IMF 2013 annual meetings kick off, the event offers perspectives on the opportunities for longterm investment in strategic economic sectors and the promise of new collaborations on infrastructure and electricity access for inclusive, sustained development.
