Mealybugs are pests that are very annoying to plants so they must be controlled so they don't damage the plants.
Mealybugs have a fairly fast life cycle. Can live for about 4 weeks. Female mealybugs lay eggs in egg sacs made of white wax. Each sac can contain up to 600 eggs. The eggs that hatch into nymphs are similar to adult fleas but are smaller and do not have a wax coating. They go through several stages of growth before becoming adults.
