Anisha Gordhan, daughter of the late former minister Pravin Gordhan, gave the thousands of people attending her father's special official funeral in Durban a rare glimpse of what it was like to grow up in the home of a struggle activist in the apartheid years. She described her parent's home above a shop in the city's CBD as a centre where messages were dropped off, logistical arrangements were made, and sometimes heated debates took place. Anisha Gordhan says one of her earliest memories was when the security police arrested her father.
