Predator 212 in Harley 1968 Model D Golf Cart

Follow

This video summarizes how I installed a 7 hp, 212cc 4 stroke engine into a 1968 Model D Harley Davidson Golf Cart. The original cart had a two stroke engine but it had numerous issues and was not reliable so I took it out and put in the new engine.

It doesn't have reverse and it doesn't shut off when stopped.

It required the custom machining of one part although if you had the original driven clutch you could use the existing part.

It uses a TAV2 30 series Torque converter.

It required hundreds of hours of work, designing, trial, error, etc.

Not used for Golfing. Only to get around our 10 acre orchard.

Cost of new parts was around $800.

Sprockets are 19 tooth on Torque Converter and 17 tooth on drive shaft.

Will follow up with the step by step video compilation.

Let me know what you think.
