Most RC pilots have wanted to fly a biplane at one time or another and the first one that comes to mind is always the preWWII Stearman PT17 US Army Air Corps primary trainer that many wartime pilots learned to fly in. Eflite has released a new PT17 ARF that makes it possible for everyone to assemble and fly a very scalelike Stearman. Wing alignment and transportation has been simplified to eliminate the difficulties associated with more conventional assemblies. A simple bracket and two screws make wing assembly and removal simple. The built up balsa/ply construction with fuselage stringers maintains that fullscale realism reminiscent of aircraft in that era while also keeping the total weight to a minimum. The result is an excellent flying RC model capable of all the aerobatics the real one could do. It is not a primary trainer for RC but it is not difficult to fly due to the features incorporated in this Eflite design. This one is designed to be powered with a 15 size brushless electric motor so operation is equally easy.

Our preview video with John Redman will get into all the details of this new Eflite airplane and we are confident you are going to want to put one of these great ARF models together. Everyone around HorizonRC.com is anxious to get in line for one of their own. Take a look and see what you think.
