Princess Leonor of Spain is now fully integrated into the activities of the naval school in Marín. This Friday, after her admission on Thursday, she received, along with other classmates, the badge as a distinguished student.
This is a recognition that is granted at the beginning of the course to students who have met certain requirements in the previous year, related to the grades obtained, grade of instruction and training or absence of disciplinary offenses, among other issues.
In the case of Leonor, the proposal for a distinguished student comes from the General Military Academy of Zaragoza, where she successfully completed the last year.
After the formal ceremony of delivery of the badges in which Leonor wore the uniform of a white shortsleeved shirt and white trousers, it was time for sport and the Princess, like her colleagues, wore a shortsleeved shirt and blue husband shorts kit. With her team, she has participated in the interbrigade sports competition, in which the Third Brigade, to which Leonor belongs, has been the winner.
To complete the day, the Princess of Asturias, this time wearing a white polo shirt with a navy blue collar and navy blue long trousers, had her baptism of the sea with a first sailing trip through the estuary of Pontevedra to begin the seafaring instruction.
To date there was no photograph of Leonor on board a boat, despite the fact that since she was a child her presence in Mallorca has coincided with the celebration of the Copa del Rey de Vela.
