In this pro tools tutorial video, I am going to show you how to make midi drums sound real. Midi drums have come a long way in the last 10 years or so. The samples have been well recorded and there are lots of options. BUT! That's not all it takes to make them sound killer.

We are going to explore the aspect of how to edit midi drums and how making midi drums sound real is accomplished by digging into the performance aspect. I am going to show you some basic things you can do to not just make the drums sound good sonically, but more importantly how to make them sound like a real human played them. I call this the Human Factor. I use Steven Slate SSD5 in this video to show you how it's done.
