Interoception is your Physiological Listening System. The part of you that feels thirst or hunger, pain, body temperature and many other internal signals your body sends out all day long including your heartbeat. There are many reasons why interoception can be dampened.

Use these simple techniques to help you amplify communication between your body and brain.

Start on your back by checking in and notice what you feel. Shift your attention to your breath and watch it move in and out. When comfortable, connect your thumb and index finger, breath and sense the pulse in your fingertips. Linger with this.

Another way to sense the heartbeat is to use the Coregeous Ball for feedback. Lying on your belly, place the Coregeous Ball on your breastplate or sternum. Rest your head in your hands and settle in. Attempt to feel the sensation of the heartbeat. Breathe into the ball while you focus on the movement of your heart.

In the last technique, Jill places the Coregeous Ball to the side of the abdomen for “Gut Baby”. Breathe, allow your belly to soften over the ball. Use your top hand to stroke the tissues to encourage relaxation. Breathe and sense your body’s internal sensations.
