Protein glaze of the basic consistency of Royal icing can be painted and decorated both on cakes and on gingerbread and gingerbread houses.
Today I will show techniques that will help beginners to make a beautiful Royal icing painting.

Lines from icing. They are needed for tracing gingerbread before filling with glaze, as well as for creating patterns. Usually I use the nozzle No. 2 Ateko, but sometimes I need thin nozzles No. 0, or 00 for elegant lace. And sometimes you even need a nozzle No. 3.

Dots and beads. We use the same nozzles for icing and gingerbread as in the lines. Only we add the star nozzles closed. No. 16 Wilton is perfect!

For embroidery with a brush, most often a confectionery nozzle for glaze No. 3 and a synthetic brush No. 1 are needed.

For flowers from icing, I use the nozzle No. 129 from Wilton.
