Thirty Sayings of the Wise as it regards living right before God and man

Proverbs is all about wisdom
The message of Proverbs is this: You can be wise. Choose the path of wisdom. Embrace wisdom. Love wisdom. Pursue wisdom.
As Proverbs 1:7 teaches us wisdom begins with a relationship with God
Proverbs ultimately leads us to Jesus who is wisdom. Everything Jesus said and did exemplifies wisdom. In Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge (Colossians 2:3)


THIRTY SAYINGS TO LIVE BY

Note: We going to walk thru the text. We'll read all 30 sayings but I won't comment on them all. There is about 10 that I will comment on though :)

POINT: How you treat the poor it's a big deal

POINT: Be careful who you make friends with. Angry people don't make for good friends

POINT: Be a good samaritan! Rescue the perishing! Point people to the Saviour to Jesus

POINT: We are accountable to God and to those who are over us. Obey God. Obey your leaders

CONCLUSION

So that's it: Solomon's TOP 30 sayings on how to live wisely before God and man. There is a lot in there for us and I love how once again we have verses that take us to Jesus the ultimate embodiment of wisdom
