In 2020, the FDA approved the first PSMAtargeted PET imaging treatment for men with prostate cancer. PSMA (prostatespecific membrane antigen) is a protein found mainly on prostate cancer cells, and targeting PSMA may make it easier to find prostate cancer during a PET scan.
