How do we combat against it? Dr Vanlal Thanzami is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology at Monash University Malaysia. Since obtaining her PhD in Psychology from the University of Central Lancashire (U.K) her career in academia and research, first at the University of Central Lancashire followed by Monash University Malaysia, has spanned nearly 2 decades. Her research focuses on interpersonal violence, honorbased violence, cyberbullying, social media usage and psychological wellbeing, personality and evolutionary psychology. She has published in reputable international peerreviewed journals and presented at international conferences. Her teaching expertise is within the areas of social, crosscultural and forensic psychology and she continuously strives to educate and inspire her students through researchinformed teaching. She is a member of the Honor Abuse Research Matrix (HARM) and the International Society for Research on Aggression (ISRA), and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (U.K).
