Patrick Dever grew up memorizing and monitoring the splits and workouts of British alltime greats like Mo Farah. At 27 years old, Dever is not far from etching his name atop the UK record books in the 5000m and 10,000m. In Sept. 2021, Dever graduated from Tulsa University as the 10,0000m NCAA champion and signed a professional contract with PUMA as one of the first few members of the North Carolinabased PUMA Elite squad coached by Alistair and Amy Cragg.

We took a trip to Park City, Utah to catch the team in preparation for their summer racing block. Dever has put together a strong buildup to Paris with a victory in the British 10,000m championship on May 18th in Highgate, a sixth place finish at the European Championships 10,000m and a runnerup finish in the 5000m at the British Trials.

Paris will be his first Games.
