Replacing a Sticky Throttle on My Punk Rider Pro!

On my way to work today, I encountered a sudden and alarming issue with my Punk Rider Pro. The throttle became sticky, seemingly out of nowhere, disrupting my smooth ride. In seconds, I went from cruising to pulling over, my heart racing. This unexpected throttle issue was a real gamechanger.

I didn't waste any time getting on this. I sent a ticket to the folks at Punk Rider, aiming to get some parts swapped out. I wanted to give you a rundown on how to do the same if you ever find yourself in this sticky situation. Their website's pretty straightforward for this stuff. They've got all the parts listed out, so it's just a matter of finding what you need and popping it into your cart.

The bummer part? My Punk Rider Pro wasn't even that old. It's just my luck that the accelerator acted like that. But I wasn't going to let this slide, so I decided to look into getting a replacement myself.

As part of my journey, it would be helpful to walk you through the replacement process. The parts map on the Punk Rider website is a valuable tool for understanding the assembly. However, accessing the accelerator within the stem is a challenging task. It's akin to performing intricate surgery on a space shuttle, navigating through numerous components.

I'm crossing my fingers for the warranty to cover the $14 for the new part. But whether it does or doesn't, I figured sharing this journey might help someone else. If your ride's giving you grief, at least you'll know there's a way to fix it up without too much drama.
