Legendary Pt. Bhimsen Joshi presents Jagannath Bua Purohit "Gunidas" 's Jogkauns which was originally created as Raag Kaunsi. Later BR Deodhar and Bua himself found shades of Raag Jog in it. It was only later that Pt. Kumar Gandharva recreated the original Kaunsi in the 1950s.

Pt. Bhimsen Joshi's Jogkauns is different. Very different. Raag Jog is very prominent in this recording. Unusually long start and short Drut Bandish.

You agree or not but nobody has ever presented Jog and Jogkauns the way Panditji did. I bet you'll remember this recording forever.
