Russia will not allow Ukraine to obtain nuclear weapons and talk about the possible of Kyiv doing so is a very dangerous provocation, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Friday (October 18).

A force of 1,500 North Korean soldiers has arrived in Russia’s far east in preparation for deployment in Ukraine, South Korea’s intelligence agency has said.

Russian ships were detected moving the North Korean special forces troops to Vladivostok between October 8 and 13, the National Intelligence Agency (NIS) in Seoul said.

Troops have been provided with Russian military uniforms and weapons as well as fake identification documents for when they are deployed for combat, according to the spy agency.
