After a 1 minute recap of each video, I’ll be available for questions on these topics and others related to ADHD and the broader field of mental health.

What Isn't ADHD?
A number of conditions, including autism, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, substance abuse and dementia can mimic some or even all of the symptoms of ADHD. These conditions have different treatments than ADHD, so it is important to know the basics of how mental health professionals try to differentiate these conditions from ADHD.

Stimulant Use, Misuse, and Abuse
Critics of the use of stimulant medication for treating ADHD claim very high rates of abuse. But often they are conflating studies that examine addiction and abuse with those highlighting misuse which is any use that deviates even slightly from prescription instructions.

Mantras for Anxiety
Meditation can be useful to those with anxiety or ADHD, but often the condition itself makes it very hard to get into a meditative mental state. Mantras are a quick and simple pathway to enter that meditative state.

Psychiatrist, neuroscientist, and author John Kruse, MD, PhD presents practical, actionable, wellresearched information about treatment options that scientists and clinicians recommend for adult ADHD and other mental health conditions. Dr. Kruse has posted talks in both the "live" and the "video" sections of this channel. Thumbnails on ADHD topics have a pink background, and those on more general mental health topics have a purple background. A small collection of ADHDTrump videos have an orange background.
