Use Power Automate to send an email to any addresses and add a task to a Teams Planner when a Power BI Data Alert is triggered.

In this video, I'll take you through the steps you need to follow to automate 2 actions when a Power BI data alert is triggered. It uses Power Automate, which is far, far easier than I expected it to be!

The first action sends an email to one or more email addresses. This gets over the limitation that outofthebox data alerts have i.e. you can only set them up for yourself, but allow you to set up a flow with any email addresses specified.

The second action is to add a new task to an MS Teams planner, with a custom title, description, due date.

Each of the 2 options also includes a URL to the underlying report.
