A few tips we picked up along the way that are worth mentioning when visiting this region are:
1. First of all, having a car is essential as the region is relatively isolated.
2. Keep in mind that cell service can be spotty outside of cities and towns, so don’t be alarmed if you experience limited or no service in certain areas while driving.
3. When it comes to reservations, there is generally no need to prebook or reserve activities. We found that there was ample availability when booking on the spot.
4. Lastly, this is a pretty French speaking region of Canada, especially in Quebec. It’s not as bilingual as you’d find in Montreal or Quebec City so be prepared for this linguistic difference during your visit.
