Queen of the Roses In spit of inclement weather Queen Alexandra makes her annual tour

Queen Alexandra makes annual tour for Rose Day. Shot of Alexandra; wife of the late King Edward VII; looking beautiful and much younger than an her age she must be at least in her 60s in this film. She's still quite the fashion plate; in a dramatic long dark cape with lighter long scarf and a hat with a jaunty feather. Shot of horse (one of a pair hooked to a coach) standing outside building. Alexandra and another woman come out; also a man; who turns and goes back in. Queen Alexandra walks toward camera; and stands next to horse fondling its muzzle.

She nods at camera. Man comes out and helps her take off her cape under it she is wearing a cool looking cross between a shawl and a jacket; made from a some shiny fabric; a big rose thing is fastened on the front at her breast; She nods again. She also pats the horse again; and makes some gestures which make it appear that she is really having a little talk with the animal. Then she turns and starts to walk away. Sort of a strange little bit of film here. (Here the NEG mentioned above has some additional film: shots of Queen Alexandra's open coach going down street; past cheering; waving crowds. Pan along crowd; standing on curb; with flower display standing on side of street.)
