When a U.S. citizen sponsors their husband or wife for a green card, the case begins at USCIS for approval, then gets sent to the National Visa Center in New Hampshire for additional processing. After the payment of additional fees and processing by the NVC, the case is sent to the embassy for an interview for the immigrating spouse. This video explains what your husband or wife can expect at their consulate visa interview.
