A little montage of our camping trip in Quetico Provincial park in Ontario for 5 1/2 days. After a 21 hour straight drive from home to an outfitter located on the outskirts of Quetico, we loaded our equipment into a van and got a 40 minute ride to a channel accessing Pickerel Lake. From there, we canoed and portaged over land and 3 beaver dams into several lakes, caught some beautiful trout, small mouth bass, pike and walleye, and endured a thunder and lightning storm for an afternoon. We camped and fished at McDougal Lake for a day and then retraced our route back to our starting point before driving another 21 hours home. An exhausting adventure with almost 100 km of paddling and portaging in wonderful scenery with a great group of guys. Only wished the trip was 2 weeks or longer.
