1400 gm Batch
45% Tallow
25% Coconut Oil
20% Canola Oil
10% Sunflower Oil
Superfat %6 Shea Butter & Dandelion & Oatstraw Infused Apricot Kernel Oil
Lye (Sodium Hydroxide) solution contains 3% Sodium Lactate & 5% Sugar
Water/Goat's Milk goats milk added after the cook
Additives: Kaolin Clay, Honey, Essential Oils
Please Note: This method is not recommended for Beginners.
Heat Oils in Crockpot. Measure out goat's milk this is discounted from the water measurement and shouldn't be more than 30% of total liquid measurement. All your additives should be measured, warm and ready before adding your lye solution to your oils this is a fast cooking method!
Once oils have reached the temperature between 210225 F add in Kaolin Clay and hand blend until fully incorporated. Remove the crock from heat source or shut off crock pot.
Add measured lye to water solution. Stir until lye is fully dissolved. The lye solution should quickly reach temp around 200215 F and be immediately added to the hot oils.
Hand blend for 57 minutes until mixture has reached a thick trace. Cover with lid and let cook for 510 minutes. Do not leave unattended. Watch for the mixture to start cracking and growing. It will be very hot slowly stir down the volcano. If mixture separates or is very runny hand blend until mixture reaches a lumpy mashed potato stage. It may volcano again. Gently stir down the volcano and continue to stir until soap reaches a waxy vaseline appearance. You now have soap!
Gently pour in the goat's milk and superfats and stir continuously until fully incorporated. Cover and let stand for about 5 minutes. Add warm honey and essential oils and mix well. Soap batter should be nice and fluid and should pour easily into molds. Freeze for 4 or more hours. Thaw and unmold. Soap can be used immediately but best to wait 34 weeks till fully cured.
