sometimes a QUICKIE is needed ;) not sure if carb is set right? on tour and wanna make sure its ok? there is a quick test where you can verify if you are ok or you need to stop and change the mixture screw. the SI idlejet is THE engine killer (only at SI!)

high speed & low carb slide opening = idle jet is FULLY RESPONSIBLE
thats the reason why a lot of engines seize, wrongly set

idle jet importance:
   • TUNED vespa: only 30% throttle = si c...  
   • si carb IDLE JET importance EXPLAINED...  
   • how2 REACT when ur cylinder SEIZEs / ...  

NOT the main jet, nono.. it only hits in in very high rev
the idle jet kills the cylinders, and check it out, WHAT are the people aksing for? which info do they get online? only main jet info... rarely idle jet & carb

pls do NOT change the idle jet as a main jet, cause idle jet "channel" has 2 parts
1) the jet itself
2) mixture screw

use idle jets with 0,3 steps, everything else is wasting time
2,9 original
2,7 simple tuning
2,4 further tuning
2,11,8 FINE tuning

always ask4 DETAILED SETUP INFOS!
dont compare engines based on cylinder names, thats nonsense ask for the details, for instance:
0) intake timings (pnp tuning or not!)
1) cylinder timings
2) exhaust port shape and widht
3) cylinder head
4) air filter
5) the 1,2,3 fuel supply: tap? hose? main jet bore in the si?

these factors describe the engine. not just the cylinder brand name ;)
only compare similiar engines with each other

i can show you polini 177 setups with
idle jet 1,8 (!) and main jet 148 (!)
but this will not fit your engine, will it :)
