IdaSophie Hegemann (born March 21, 1997) is a German trail and ultra runner from Duderstadt. She found her way to running through school sports, which led her to track and road running. At the age of 15, Ida moved to boarding school at the Olympic training center in Hanover, where she intensified her athletic career. After graduating from high school, she began to dedicate herself to mountain running and won her first competition straight away. Her first big success came in 2018, when she took first place in the marathon as part of the Zugspitz Ultratrail.
Ida has lived in Innsbruck since 2020, where she studies architecture at the University of Innsbruck. Her trail running career has taken her to international competitions, including the Golden Trail Series and participation in the 2023 World Mountain and Trail Running Championships in InnsbruckStubai. There she achieved 15th place in the individual classification and secured 2nd place in the team classification with the German national team. Following her membership of the Salomon Trailrunning Team Germany, she has been part of The North Face's international team since 2021.
